Client Needs: This website was created during my time as a Web Support Specialist at O’Brien & Gere. My job at O’Brien & Gere was to not only fix, maintain and develop micro sites for the company on a day to day basis but, to also overhaul the external web presence. The website was in need of a major branding upheaval as well as an updated voice. The website was a combination of updates that spanned 10+ years. The coding was extremely old was in major need of consistent CSS updates. Much of the older coding on the website was done in in-line stylization and not CSS. I worked with my Web Support Manager to come up with initial wire-framing, design ideas, and implementation schedule. Web efforts were also communicated to the in house Graphic Design department to ensure branding standards were completely met and to tighten up all original designs done by myself. This was a huge collaboration effort between internal Vice Presidents (30+ VP input) of each Market Sector and Business Unit in order to display the correct marketing information. I worked with an outside coding agency in order to competely develop a content management system that worked with all of the website updating needs of the company. O’Brien & Gere could not simply use an “off the shelf” solution for their website needs – they needed something customized to their unique marketing goals. I developed and communicated our database needs with the agency in order to ensure all goals were met. View the O’Brien & Gere website here >
